Terms of Service
Last updated July 4, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Row when you use our app. We've kept them as plain as we can. By using Row, you agree to them — so it's worth a read.
Using Row
By downloading or using Row, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
You need to be at least 13 years old to use Row. If you're under the age of majority where you live, you may only use Row with a parent or guardian's involvement.
Your account
Row uses Sign in with Apple. You're responsible for keeping access to your Apple ID secure and for activity under your account. You can delete your account anytime from within the app (in Settings) — doing so removes your account data from our servers, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Subscriptions, billing, and free trials
- Row offers a subscription with monthly and annual plans, and may offer a free trial. Some features require an active subscription or trial.
- Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and billed to your Apple ID. We don't see or handle your payment details.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your Apple ID is charged within 24 hours before renewal.
- If a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription automatically unless you cancel before it ends. Starting a paid subscription may forfeit any unused portion of a trial.
- Manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period — we can't cancel it for you.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store's policies; we generally can't issue them directly, but you can request one from Apple.
- We may change our prices or plans. Changes don't affect a period you've already paid for, and Apple handles any notice or consent required before a renewal at a new price.
Your license to use Row
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Row on Apple devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use — subject to these Terms and the App Store Terms of Service.
Your content
Your habits, goals, milestones, notes, and other content are yours. Most of it stays on your device (see the Privacy Policy). When you use an AI feature, you give us permission to send the text you submit to our AI provider solely to generate your response. We don't claim ownership of your content, and we don't use it to build or train AI models.
AI features
Row's AI features — habit suggestions, goal milestone breakdowns, goal reflections, and weekly reviews — produce automated, generated content. It can be inaccurate, incomplete, or not right for your situation.
AI output is for reflection and convenience only. It is not professional advice — not medical, psychological, financial, or legal advice — and you're responsible for your own decisions. Use your judgment, and consult a qualified professional when you need real advice.
Health and wellbeing
Row is a tool for building habits and pursuing goals. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition, and it's not a substitute for professional medical or mental-health care. If you're struggling, please reach out to a qualified professional or a local support line.
Acceptable use
Please don't use Row to break the law; access accounts or data that aren't yours; interfere with, overload, or attack our systems or our providers'; probe or bypass our rate limits or security; reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract our source or models except where the law expressly allows; or build a competing product. We apply reasonable limits (for example, on how often AI features can be used) to keep the service healthy for everyone.
Our intellectual property
Row — including its name, logo, design, copy, and software — belongs to us and our licensors. These Terms don't give you any rights to our trademarks or branding.
Third-party services
Row relies on services from Apple, Anthropic (AI), Supabase (backend), and PostHog (analytics), and your use of Row is also subject to Apple's App Store terms. We choose our providers carefully, but we're not responsible for third-party services themselves.
App Store and Apple
Because you get Row through Apple's App Store, the following also apply:
- These Terms are between you and Row only — not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Row or its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Row; that's on us (reach us at support@getrow.app).
- To the extent required by law, if Row fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price; otherwise Apple has no warranty obligation, and any other claims are our responsibility.
- Apple isn't responsible for addressing your or a third party's claims relating to Row — including product-liability, legal or regulatory, and intellectual-property claims.
- You represent that you aren't located in a country under a U.S. Government embargo or designated as "terrorist-supporting," and that you aren't on any U.S. Government restricted-parties list.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
Disclaimers
Row is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don't guarantee that it will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free, or that it will achieve your goals for you.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Row and its team won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost data or lost progress. Our total liability for any claim relating to Row is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim (or, if you paid nothing, to US $50). Some places don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this may not apply to you.
Termination
You can stop using Row anytime and delete your account in Settings. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms or misuse the service. The parts of these Terms that should reasonably survive — like ownership, disclaimers, and the liability limits — continue to apply afterward.
Changes to these terms
We may update Row and these Terms. If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the app. Continuing to use Row after changes take effect means you accept them.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules — except where the consumer-protection laws where you live give you rights that can't be waived.
